A Few of my Favorite Things- #1

Earlier today I caught myself singing “My Favorite Things” from the Sound of Music.  (Of course I was singing in my best Julie Andrews’ accent!)  “Rain drops on roses, and whiskers on kittens, Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens…”   The song got me to thinking about my favorite things and why I hold them so near and dear to my heart.  Family, close friends, my health, and my Lord and Savior are all at the top of the list.  There are a number of other things in my life, however, that I feel I could not live without.  Here is the rundown:

#1- The Prois Pro-Edition Vest

I LOVE my Pro-Edition Vest from Prois Hunting and Field Apparel for Women.  The vest is quiet, and comfortable.  Not only is it a good top layer in slightly warmer conditions, but it is the perfect layering piece when it gets a bit chilly outside.  Just this past weekend I was chasing black tail deer in the Oregon coast range with my bow.  It was cold, rainy, and WINDY!  The Pro-Edition Vest was the perfect layer under my rain jacket to help keep my core warm.  The Vest’s wind stopping technology kept out the bite of the winter wind.

My Pro-Edition Vest was a great top-layer over my Prois hoodie on a windy day in South Africa last spring.

My favorite feature of the Pro-Edition Vest is the small pocket in the upper back.  The pocket is just the right size for an activated hand warmer.  Once the Vest is on, the hand warmer sits just between your shoulder blades, keeping your body toasty warm for hours!

The Vest also has a large lumbar pocket allowing for extra storage of smaller gear for the field.  (I find it is the perfect place for an extra hand warmer, or two.)  The Vest boasts a zipper closure that comes all the way up to the chin, a few inches higher than most other vests I have found on the market.  I like this feature for two reasons: 1) the higher collar allows for added concealment when zipped all the way to the top; and 2) the higher collar offers greater protection from the elements when Mother Nature gets down right nasty!

The Pro-Edition Vest is a great everyday piece, even for running errands or hanging out with friends.

My Pro-Edition Vest has become a staple in my closet.  I not only wear the Vest hunting, but also to the grocery store, sporting events, and casual gatherings with friends.  It’s a must have!

The Pro-Edition Vest retails for $149.99, and in my opinion, is worth every penny!  The Vest is available in both Realtree AP and Advantage Max 1 from http://www.proishunting.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=42, or a retailer near you.

Stay tuned for more from my list of favorites.  In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you.  What are a few of your favorite things?

  1. You can definitely see your enthusiasm in the work you write. The world hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. At all times go after your heart.
