Out with the old. In with the new.

On this first day of 2014, I cannot help but sit and reflect on the trials, tribulations and triumphs of the past year.  Despite moments of strife and heartache, its the smiles, laughter and times of sheer joy that I carry forward in my heart.

In 2013, our family experienced a number of “firsts”…

We took our first trip to Disneyland (and I dream that it will not be our last)!  We danced in the streets with Goofy. We dreamed with Dumbo. We were all young at heart.

I pursued my dreams and took my writing to a new level, joining the Women’s Outdoor News and The Shooting Channel as a columnist for each.  I attended SHOT Show for the first time, and hung out with the Prois Posse.  I joined the field staff team at HerCamoShop.

Wyatt was baptized, and we were each reminded of our Father in Heaven’s unconditional Love and his desire for us to all return home.

We fished.  We caught frogs.  We had (snowball) fights.

We photographed… and I took my photography to the next level by launching my web-site for MWB Wildlife Imagery.

We explored caves, and I found BigFoot.

We Scouted.

We hunted and we hiked.  We caught big bugs.

Most importantly, we had fun!

I don’t know what 2014 will have in store or where our hiking boots will take us,  but I know it will be one grand adventure!

From our home to yours ~ Happy New Year!  Cheers!
